Literature Text

When the mountains roar,
And the lions are feasting.
When god sheds blood,
And the angels are weeping.
The ocean sends the tide,
Sinks inside your blisters.
Sometimes I think,
It's scariest to sleep,
When you know.
You're gonna wake up again.

Sometimes I believe nothing scarier than the sea,
Sometimes I believe you were meant to run with me,
The devil comes right out with golden fiddle playing.
Sometimes when I dream,
I don't wanna wake again,
Even when it's only nightmares that I've spent.

David played that secret cord,
And I surely pissed off that lord.
Staring at your hour glass,
Thinking of only half.
I grabbed the top and rubbed the rest,
Till nothing left but certain death.
I ran for the mountain,
Yet it began to shriek,
I fell on the lions with blood stained manes.
To kiss the golden shadow of lonely sea.
Were you ever next to me.

(X2) Sometimes I believe nothing scarier than the sea,
Sometimes I believe you were meant to run with me,
The devil comes right out with golden fiddle playing.
Sometimes when I dream,
I don't wanna wake again,
Even when it's only nightmares that I've spent.

We run for the hills,
We hide under desks.
I called you lover,
Called you best friend.
Heated the fiddle ripping,
Saw the earth turn red,
I've been stuck in night terrors,
Only dreams can amend.
So sometimes I fear,
That never waking up,
Might be grand.

Sometimes I believe nothing scarier than the sea,
Sometimes I believe you were meant to run with me,
The devil comes right out with golden fiddle playing.
Sometimes when I dream,
I don't wanna wake again,
Even when it's only nightmares that I've spent.
